Our policy for responding to requests to delete data under UK data protection law is
outlined in
this document. This document explains Wavelino's obligations when responding to
a request
for deletion of data as well as the rights of the data subject.
Each Person's Rights
The right to be erased, also known as "the right to be forgotten," is a
personal right.
The primary objective of this right is to provide individuals with the ability to
request the
deletion or removal of personal data in situations in which there is no compelling
reason to
continue processing it.
When is the right to erase in effect?
Individuals have the right, as stipulated by UK data protection law, to have their
personal data
erased and processing halted in certain circumstances:
- when the personal data no longer serves the purpose for which they were
originally collected
or processed;
- when the individual stops giving their consent;
- When a person opposes the processing and there is no other legal justification
for the
relevant processing activity;
- when the personal data were processed in an illegal manner;
- where personal data must be deleted to comply with a legal requirement.
What records does Wavelino keep?
In order to create a Team Role Report, the Wavelino online system called
"Interplace"
stores information about individuals. To create a report, we store each
individual's name,
email address, gender, organization or department (if provided), and subsequent Team
Role scores
for 90 days on our secure servers in the UK. This information is kept and used in
accordance
with our privacy policy, which can be found at: policy on privacy. Personal
information, such as
your address, telephone number, and notes, may be stored in our CRM system with your
consent for
the purpose of communicating with you regarding Wavelino news, products, and
promotions.
How is data erased?
- Wavelino is the data controller if you purchased a Team Role Report from
Wavelino directly.
In this scenario, the team role data (scores) will be deleted upon request (via
email to
info@wavelino.com), account closure, or after three years. Wavelino is the data
processor
and the customer is the data controller when a company purchases access to the
Wavelino
Online Account. As the data controller in this instance, the customer is in
charge of
ensuring that the data it collects is only used for what it was intended for.
- When acting on behalf of their organization, a Wavelino Online Account user can
delete data
from their Interplace system at any time. Wavelino employees and users alike are
unable to
retrieve this data after it has been deleted from the system. It is impossible
to retrieve
deleted or destroyed data at any time. Before data is permanently deleted, the
account
administrator receives a sufficient warning.
- Despite being periodically deleted, system backup files may still contain data.
- If you send a request to info@wavelino.com, you can have information removed
from our CRM.
We promise to delete the information within 30 days and will send you a
confirmation once it
has been deleted. We will try to complete the request before the deadline
whenever possible.
